READ ME file:
extract content to "home" folder.
move or copy to this location "/opt".
when you finish to copy all files and directories, you need to give permission to gimp_painter's folder, so while you are still in this location "/opt" you need to type this command in the terminal.
sudo chmod -R 777 seagetch_github_Gimp-painter-2.8_64-bit_ubuntu_14.04_oct_05_2015/
now you can run gimp-painter by simply double click in "gimp-2.8", you will find the executable in this location.
/opt/seagetch_github_Gimp-painter-2.8_64-bit_ubuntu_14.04_oct_05_2015/bin
you can also go to this location using the terminal, when you are there you can run gimp by typing " ./gimp-2.8" , if you do it this way, you will see info telling you about any posible problem, probably you'll need to install some libs using your package manager.
last I have to say, if you need to add brushes, textures, pallets, etc. there is a hidden folder you can use, located at " /home/san/.gimp-painter/"
